Fossil Brand History

Fossil have become one of the largest watch and apparel manufacturers world wide, with licensing agreements with some of the biggest named designers in the fashion world, the likes of DKNY and Philip Starck.

Fossil was started by Tom Kartsotis in 1984 after finding out about the money that could be made by importing watches from the Hong Kong. The company started by selling of Tom’s original ticket company to raise the funds to bring fashion oriented watches from the Far East. Fossil as it was to become known found a niche in the market making and distributing retro styled watches to the American public.
