Compared the first Citizen Bluetooth Virt watch the company launched back in 2006, the new line of Citizen watches are very compact and look like a normal LCD watches. Early this year Citizen introduced a slightly updated model, but the down fall being screen size.new-citizen-bluetooth-virt-watches.jpg

Features of the new Citizen i:virt Bluetooth watches include display and vibration alarm of incoming calls, incoming e-mail or news.

In collaboration with the Japanese Carrier Softbank Citizen even allows you to read a preview of an email on the Bluetooth wristwatch. Another fun feature is the ability to trigger the camera of a compatible mobile phone via the watch.
The new Citizen Bluetooth watches will hit the market in Japan in November. Via this Citizen press-release (Japanese).

The Bluetooth watches are already available from Fossil but are not that feature-rich yet and not so compact. Let’s see if Fossil can beat Citizen with their next generation (if they actually do another Bluetooth watch generation) of Bluetooth watches.
